The Tamar Valley is an exceptional place, defined by its landscape, its river, and a deep agricultural tradition that continues to shape daily life. From early connections to country through to generations of farming and viticulture, the valley reflects a rare continuity between land, people, and purpose.

We chose the Tamar Valley because it is genuinely distinctive. The interplay of river, climate, and landscape has shaped a region with a strong identity, a respected food and wine culture, and deep local knowledge built over generations. It is a place where quality and care for land and craft are evident, making it worthy of long-term commitment.

The project brings together a working vineyard and thoughtfully designed accommodation as an integrated whole. By supporting local employment, prioritising regional growers, trades, and suppliers, and encouraging longer stays, it is intended to deliver lasting economic benefit to the local community.

Our approach is deliberate and place-led, guided by responsible land stewardship and design choices that respond to the rhythms of the valley.

This is an investment in the future of the Tamar Valley — creating opportunity, supporting community prosperity, and contributing something meaningful and enduring to a place we value deeply.

The concept

The concept

As part of this vineyard development, a small number of accommodation units are proposed on site, along with supporting facilities.

Our proposed exciting new visitor experience is a personal project of passion – we are values-led, committed to becoming part of the local community, and want the project to reflect local values while delivering positive outcomes for the environment and community. We are approaching the project with care and a long-term view, with a strong focus on fitting comfortably within the local landscape and existing land uses. The focus for our Stage 2 Masterplan is to continue developing a sustainable small-scale vineyard, designed to be quiet, low-impact, and landscape-led.
